Confirmation from school required for Student status
For those
applying under the Student category, NAMA requires proof of
your status as a "Full Time" student from the school you are
attending.
NAMA
interprets "Full Time" a little differently than state
universities and student loan programs. You will qualify as a
full time student if you are attending a school that considers
you as a full time student in good standing in one of their
certificate or degree programs.
Examples
are:
1.
Traditional
universities and colleges where you are attending 15 credit
hours per semester (term).
2.
Schools
where you are enrolled in a one weekend per month program for
one year or more.
3.
Distance
learning programs where the curriculum, hours and
certification is equivalent to that school’s conventional
programs.
·
(There is a time
limit to the Student category. A person may be considered for
Student status in 1. and 2. above for a maximum of 3 years and
for 3. above for a maximum of 1 year)
Examples
that do NOT qualify are weekend seminars, summer intensives,
etc.
NAMA
requires letter, fax or email from the school indicating your
status, program enrolled in and whether a degree or
certificate is issued upon successful completion. Email can go
to info@ayurveda-nama.org or fax to 505-294-7572.
